PostRadio is an iOS app that reads long X posts aloud with Grok Voice. This page says what the app uses, in plain language.
Information the app uses
X account basics
When you sign in with X, PostRadio receives the basic account details X shares for that sign-in. That includes your X account id, name, username, and profile image. PostRadio uses them to keep your library and to show which account is signed in.
Imported posts
When you sync bookmarks, or paste a link to a post, PostRadio receives those posts from X. That includes the text and the details needed to show the post and read it aloud, such as who wrote it and when it was posted. Imported posts stay in your library so you can play them.
If a post is played, the audio may be kept and reused so the same post does not have to be generated again. It is used for playback inside PostRadio.
Purchases
Credit packs are sold in the app through Apple In-App Purchase. PostRadio receives the signed purchase record from Apple so it can add credits to your account and keep your balance. PostRadio does not receive your card number. Apple handles payment.
Why this information is used
- To sign you in with X
- To show and play the posts you import
- To read a post aloud with Grok Voice
- To keep track of credits you buy and spend
- To run the app and fix problems
Who else handles it
Parts of the app are run with other companies, only for the work described above:
- X, so you can sign in and import posts
- xAI, so Grok Voice can read a post aloud
- Apple, so you can buy credits
- DigitalOcean, which hosts PostRadio's servers and stores its backups
PostRadio does not sell your personal information.
How long it is kept
Account details, imported posts, listening progress, notes, credit history, and the credit balance are kept while you have an account.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the app (Settings > Delete account), or by emailing privacy@postradio.app. Include your X username. PostRadio asks you to confirm from that X account, for example by sending a message from it, before it deletes anything.
Deletion removes your PostRadio account and profile details (X account id, name, username, and profile image), your library, listening progress, notes, listen and starter-credit history, and credit balance. AI assistant connections are removed. PostRadio deletes its copies of your X sign-in tokens and asks X to revoke them. Unused credits are lost. Your X account is not affected.
Deleting your account does not give a refund for unused credits. PostRadio has no subscriptions to cancel. To ask for a refund of a purchase, contact Apple.
Some records are kept after deletion:
- Purchase and refund records (the Apple transaction id, product, number of credits, the resulting credit balance, the App Store environment, and dates) are kept with no link to your PostRadio account, for refunds, accounting, and to stop a purchase being credited twice. They are kept for at least 7 years.
- If your account received free starter credits, PostRadio keeps a keyed hash of your X account id and the date it was made. It holds no other data. PostRadio uses it only to recognize that X account if it signs up again, so the starter credits are not given twice. It has no expiry.
- Copies of public X posts and the audio made from them, because other listeners may have them in their libraries.
Server logs, which can include your IP address and account id, are kept on the server for about 28 days for security and debugging. Copies can remain in full-server backups, so logs are deleted within 60 days.
PostRadio keeps weekly full-server backups for 28 days, and nightly database backups for 28 days on the server and in private storage with DigitalOcean. Deleted account data is removed from all backups within 60 days.
Apple, X, and xAI keep their own records under their own privacy policies. You can email privacy@postradio.app to ask what PostRadio holds about you.

PostRadio is not for children under 13. PostRadio does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
